- Remove – foods to which you may be allergic or sensitive to. Sometimes it is well worth a trial elimination of a common food sensitivity to see what happens. Gluten, dairy, corn and soy are good candidates to start with. Just see how you feel after cutting one or more of these out for a week or so.
- Replace – Get enough fiber on a daily basis, just don’t overdo it. Make sure all your nutrient bases are covered. Enzymes help to ensure digestion and absorption of nutrients consumed.
- Repopulate – the gut with good healthy bacteria. Probiotic supplements and probiotic rich foods.
- Repair – Gut lining
- Rebalance – Stress is the number one problem leading to poor digestion and gut health. Meditation, yoga, QiGong and Tai Chi are all helpful. Also look at scaling back on commitments and activities to allow for more time to chill and relax.
