<p>To make this you need one of those blender bottles that has the wire mesh ball on the inside. This helps to blend up the ingredients. You can even put peanut butter in the bottle according to the directions. I tried it and it works great. In this example I use almond butter instead.</p>
<p>Add an apple of a few slices of mango and you are good to go.</p>
<p>If you use almond or coconut milk, look for the kind with no sugar added.</p>

<p>Consuming huge amounts of vegetables is one of the quickest ways to get the body alkaline.<br />
Juicing allows you to consume way more vegetables than you could ever chew.<br />
And it&#8217;s a lot easier for the nutrients to get into your bloodstream.</p>
<p>I can tell you from experience, I have more energy when  I juice regularly than any other thing.</p>
<p>It is a lot of work and expense to juice however. It is well worth the time and effort.</p>

<h2>The best possible scenario is to the drink the juice right after you make it.</h2>
<h3>If you need to store some for later, here is how to do it:</h3>
<p>Get some canning jars. Fill the jars right to the tippy top with juice. The less air in the jar the better. Use a vacuum sealer attachment on the lid to suck all the air out.</p>
<p>Keep it as cold as possible without freezing. Keep it out of the light.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t have a vacuum sealer, at least fill the jars right to the top, adding water if necessary to keep the air out. This will help prevent oxidation.</p>
<p>I have read elsewhere that adding a bit of powdered vitamin C or other anti-oxidant to the juice can help.</p>
<p>Even with the best preservation method, I wouldn&#8217;t store juice for more than a day.</p>
<p>The same applies to smoothies.</p>
<p>You still get some nutrition from frozen juice, but not as good as fresh.</p>

<p>This smoothie has enough sweetness, that you might consider sneaking  in  a small amount of greens powder, or maybe just one leaf of a  vegetable.</p>
<p>That way you can gradually and slowly introduce some vegetables into  your body, without having to deal with the taste or texture.</p>
<h2>Vegetable Hater Smoothie Ingredient List</h2>
<ul class="bullet-9">
<li>Strawberries, preferably fresh and in season</li>
<li>1 Peach</li>
<li>Blueberries</li>
<li>1 Banana</li>
<li>Chocolate whey protein, or rice protein if you are sensitive to dairy.</li>
<li>Purified water</li>
<li>Almonds, raw if you can get them</li>
<li>Optional for the brave: greens powder or a leaf or two of a green vegetable</li>

<p>Start by soaking the almonds in the water for a bit first. If you have actual raw almonds, you could soak them overnight and discard that water, starting your smoothie with fresh purified water. Otherwise, just soak the almonds for a few minutes in the blender, while you prep the other ingredients.</p>
<p>Put everything in the blender and blend, it&#8217;s that quick and easy. You don&#8217;t need a super expensive blender like a vita mix to do this. It does help to have a better quality blender though, as the cheapo models may struggle with this.</p>

<h3>Juicing and smoothies are the answer</h3>
<p>When you juice, you can take a few pounds of produce, some of which you would never think of eating, and turn it into a couple glasses of juice.</p>
<p>The best part is the vitamins and other nutrients absorb more easily into you body. It&#8217;s almost like a direct infusion of nutrition. Very little digestive energy is needed.</p>
<p>You can&#8217;t help but feel good after drinking a glass of freshly made juice.</p>
<h3>Choosing the Best Quality Produce</h3>
<p>Always try to choose organic, locally grown produce as often as possible. If you can&#8217;t get your hands on organic or locally grown, just do the best you can with what is available. A juice drink made from celery, greens, an apple and a nice hunk of ginger is still better than a candy bar and chips any day.</p>
<p>I have found that vegetable blender smoothies are easier to make than a glass of juice. Cleaning a blender is easier than cleaning a juicer. The nutrients in juice are more bio-available though than a smoothie, because the fiber slows absorption. On the other hand fiber is good.  So take your pick, smoothies or juice or how about both?
