Dr. Robert Youngs lecture in Omaha Nebraska 6 of 7
Is America getting FATTER, or just more acidic?
This is a controversial video. You just might not agree with what Dr. Robert Young has to say here.
His views on salt definitely go against the “grain” of conventional medical thinking.

Cut Back on Salt?
While everyone else is saying cut down on salt, Dr. Young says, we need salt. So what is the real truth here? I think the topic needs a little more exploration.
My Personal Salt Story
Here is a true case that happened to me: Several years ago I went to see a holistic MD. This is a guy very knowledgeable about vitamins, healthy diet, chelation, and more. Studying ways to actually be healthier and have more energy was his thing. But he wa also an MD, so he was able to do lab tests for urine, blood, saliva and more.
Doctor’s Orders
Here is what he told me after looking at my tests: Eat more salt, specifically, sea salt, not ordinary table salt. The thing is I was already eating pretty healthy. I did not consume the large amounts of junk food consumed by the average American. No salty chips, pretzels, soups or anything else with added or hidden salt. My blood pressure was already low, so additional salt would not put me in the danger zone for high blood pressure.
Advantage of Sea Salt
The advantage of sea salt is that it contains trace minerals which are typically absent from common table salt. Sea salt can actually help to alkalize the body, because of the minerals.
Bottom line here: Check with your own doctor first and take into consideration your lifestyle and current medical condition. Adding salt to an already salty diet might not be too good. So take Dr. Young’s advice with a grain of salt, or not.

Holiday Party Defense
This time of year I am sure to take extra enzymes and drink Dr. Miller’s detox tea on a consistent basis. Last night for example I went to an open house for a massage therapist and an acupuncturist. Thankfully they had some healthy foods there, veggies and fruit. But there was also wine, cheese, cookies and other assorted goodies. That is why I am sure to drink the tea and take extra enzymes to help my digestive system overcome a little indulgence.

Disclaimer: Yes I do make money from the sale of this tea. If you would like to make money too, check out http://GetCleanInside.com

I agree we need sodium, but not that we need salt. We need usable sodium in our system to keep things in solution (not hardened, like gall stones and kidney stones). The best usable source of sodium is vegetables, especially celery and seaweeds. If one is going to use salt, sea salt is a good choice. I think it is that we have had too much of a bad form of salt (sodium chloride aka table salt) and it has caused problems. Eat vegetable or sea salt sources and it will flush out the bad stuff. Don’t forget to drink enough purified water to go along with it!
