3 Tasty and Nutritious Dishes

One of my favorite places to eat in St. Petersburg is Spice Routes Cafe, at the First USlaw with raisinsnity Campus. They feature a lot of locally grown organic foods. They are very creative there and are always coming up with new dishes, based on seasonal availability of foods. The video above features 3 of their summer recipes. If there is enough interest, we can post the recipes for these delicious and healthy dishes. The ingredients they use are always fresh and they use lots of alkalizing vegetables in their recipes.

Three Vegetarian, Alkaline, Yummy Dishes

  • Apple Coleslaw
  • Israeli Couscous
  • Sri Lankan Sweet Potato Soup

Please share your favorite healthy place to eat, even if it’s your own kitchen. People on the alkaline diet are always wanting to know about good places to eat around town or while traveling.

Seriously, I travel quite a bit (powwows, native fairs, etc). I refuse to go to any restaurant. Let’s face it, the choices are unhealthy GMO-serving, Soy-based, High-fructose fat or (healthy restaurant) a very stuck-up atmosphere where you get a bite of food for the cost of a week’s worth of groceries. Entirely unfair.

I have a hibachi grill that I take around with me, and I cook food for my family wherever we go. I also pack plenty of raw fruits and vegetables and non-fluoridated water for my family. Yeah, I am that hardcore healthy! So that is my favorite healthy place to eat outside of the home… outside.

i recommend baja fresh. i like the black bean and cheese borrito w/ a side of “pronto guac”. it comes with corn chips and your choice of salsa. pinto beans are a borrito option.

I am really having a problem. My husband has Lyme and he is supposed to have a high alkaline diet but he can’t have anything with sugar, not even fruit and hardly any simple carbs. I am stymied as to what to make for him. Any suggestions? Anyone here with Lyme?
