Blueberry PieThis pie is easier to make than any conventional pie.

Well, maybe not one that comes out of a box.

You can make just about any kind of pie, once you learn how to do the crust, just almonds and dates in a food processor. Then fill it with your favorite pie filling.

Blueberry Pie, Raw Food Style

Certified Raw Food Chef, Christie Kellog, shares with us this tasty pie recipe. At the end of the presentation, I got to come out from behind the camera and give it the taste test. It was delicious.

Filling ingredients are:

  • Blueberries
  • Bananas
  • Raw honey, preferably local
  • Psyllium is the secret ingredient

This pie is loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber and more nutritious goodies. A great alternative for the holidays or anytime.

Use your creativity for the filling ingredients and create almost any type of pie you want. Just be sure to work with healthy ingredients. Your family will thank you  for supplying the gift of good health.

    1. I made the raw blueberry pie for Christmas dinner at our home with 23 people. It was a hit! More raw blueberry pie got eaten than the baked peach and berry pies. Yummmy!

      RACHEL’S RAW SLAW:
      Juice from 1-3 Oranges
      Juice from 2-4 lemons
      4-8 cups finely shredded red or green cabbage
      2-3 apples sliced/diced with the skin on
      MIX WELL…

      ADD just before serving:
      1/2 to 1 cup raw sliced cranberries
      (or 1/2 cup dried sweetened cranberries)
      1/2 to 1 cup soaked pecans or walnuts
      (can also add 1T. freshly grated ginger, and
      4T. Flax oil…)
      DELICIOUS!!!!!
