The Acai berry jam is a nutritional powerhouse. Chia seeds are an excellent source of healthy essential fatty acids, similar to flax seeds. They also contain antioxidants, which helps keep the fat more stable. Flax seed oil can go rancid quickly.
Chia seeds bulk up a lot when you add liquid, so they are great for making gels.
Here is the ingredient list for superfood Acai berry jam.
- 2 Tablespoons of Chia seeds
- 1/2 cup fresh pressed apple juice
- 2 Tablespoons of raw, freeze dried Acai powder
- 2 Tablespoons Maple syrup
- 1 Tablespoon fresh pressed lemon juice
Get some sprouted grain bread, or rice bread if you are allergic to wheat.
