Not long ago i bought a 56gal aquarium to replace the 28gal tank i'm currently utilizing to house my cichlids; two of them, a bumble bee and an albino, had grown to 7-8 " and a set of jewel cichlids had a group of fry, 5 of which survived and have grown, so I had run out of room. Regrettably, over the last 2 weeks the 8" bumble bee has bullied and killed 3 other fish, including my big albino. He's a serial fish murderer! Simply because of this i've put him in solitary confinement in a 16 gal tank, by himself. Is this a large enough tank to hold this fish? I do not wish to release him into the general population 56 gal tank, but I also don't want to maintain him in a tank that's too little.

Doris, if you have mercury in your body you will never get rid of the candida. The fact that you eat fish means you have mercury, even freshwater fish contain dangerous levels.

Check your fillings, if they are silver, you have even more mercury. This may explain why it got worse after dental work. Candida lives on mercury salts in the body.

Detox/chelate the mercury with cilantro/chlorella or DMPS. But only if you remove the dental fillings first. Otherwise it'll will pull the merc out of your fillings into your body.

Hi, I am currently (4 the past 2 weeks) doing a Candida diet. Some of the recipes on the internet will keep me from starving, while I try to starve the fungus. I have suffered with it for 20+ years. Doctors did not know OR acknowledge that this was the problem,or even that there was a problem. I had one of those itches,YOU KNOW,YES for years. But no other usual symptoms.AND I went to a team of Gynecologist in a well known hospital in Dallas, who said I had chronic bacteria & they did not know the cause,Nor offer any curing help. So,I have no idea how deeply rooted this is. But it DID mutate and travel. I suffer from chronic coated tongue. I got sick with a respiratory illness last November after Dental work and a visit with a child that had Bronchitis(they did not tell me until I ask after we had been there a hour & it was his birthday party so I didn't leave, too late anyway.) I gave all the symptoms to each doc I have seen over the past 20 years...Not one would tell me about this fungus!!!
I could not get well,so I visited the doc,who prescribed Antibiotics Not once,or twice, but 5 times between Nov and March. He even treated me with Nystatin and Another round of Antibiotics after I showed him my tongue!!
I get help from my local health food store. I was at least a pot a day coffee drinker, and loved my red wine. And drank tea all day long. All that is GONE!!
I studied everyones comments on the Web, and found some great blogs! I take 6 vitamins a day. One is a multivitamin, one b50,one occuvite, one C,one Calcium & Magnesium, and one Omega 3. AND I take one Heavy Metal cleanse(4 about 10-15 days only) and I take Proactazyme plus,or Probiotic Eleven every day. I am cooking the above mentioned broth while I write this. I have been eating Garlic and onions and cooking with them. I have eaten No red meat. Only fish and chicken. Pilgrims Pride only(to avoid antibiotics, which flared this all up)And only green vegetables or Red bell peppers and tomatoes.
Carol, lucky you to get the answers earlier than I did! But the blood test came back with no sugar problems, ect.,So I hope I actually CAN get this starved out before I do have internal trouble!
A big note: I went back for Dental work and it all got worse again??? She mentioned she had another patient on the diet, but did not see a connection. I have emailed her to take another look.
And I have instructed the physicians office to note my file...That we will have to find another way to get me well, since the fungus loves the antibiotics.FUNNY, I ALWAYS THOUGHT THE HEALTH CARE PERSON SHOULD GIVE THE INSTRUCTIONS.Turns out they don't even read the stuff you fill out in the office. So I go in explaining everything over on every visit!!
WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?? I try not to stress but, give me a break! In this economy??? LOL! I have retired from a Extremely stressful job, but, then duh, went to work part time for the Post Office. OH, well. THANK YOU for this site and Info!

Years ago I suffered from severe candidasis (spelling) due to being on antibiotics for 8 months. I followed those suggestions which were from in a Yeast answers book and it took two years but I eradicated it. I know am able to enjoy most foods in moderation. I still cant have very much caffeine, nuts or alcohol. I can't have juices, sodas or energy drinks at all.

Does baking soda lower pH levels? Which in turn can alleviate and/or cure Candida?

Possibly leaky gut too?

If so, how much baking soda would you recommend?

Any Internet material on the subject?

Thank you immensely
