He says there is a long list of health problems that are affected by magnesium.

Helping the body and mind to relax is just one of the myriad of things magnesium does in the body.

Problem is most Americans are deficient. I will list some of the foods high in magnesium below.

Foods High in Magnesium:

  • Leafy green vegetables are at the top of my list, also very alkalizing as well. Dandelion greens have lots of other benefits too.
  • Nuts and peanuts are a good source of magnesium Pumpkin seeds are also a good source of zinc.
  • Seafood
  • Beans, legumes
  • Grains, but not my favorite way to get magnesium.
  • Bananas and figs
  • Artichoke, sweet potatoes and okra along with other vegetables.
  • Sea vegetables like kelp
  • Buckwheat
  • Garlic

There is also a list of things that can drain calcium from the body:

  • Coffee
  • Acidic foods
  • Stress
  • Drugs and excess alcohol
  • Salt
  • Soda pop

One of my favorite ways to balance my pH is to drink an organic, cleansing herbal tea. It acts as a very gentle colon cleanse and helps to remove toxins from my body.
