Green Smoothies are a great way to get more nutritious, alkaline boosting greens into your diet.
With the addition of some fruit, you can end up with a great tasting drink, that even gets past the taste buds of kids.
Adding sprouts pumps up the nutritional value, as well as the enzymes, which are key to feeling energetic and healthy, at least in my experience.

How to Make an Alfalfa Sprout Green Smoothie
Get your blender ready and add the following:
- Sprouts, alfalfa is good, or use clover, mung bean or bit of radish for some zest
- Greens, dark leafy greens are best. The more the merrier
- Some fruit to add flavor and sweetness.
- Enough water to blend it up to a good consistency.
In a perfect world, you would use lots of greens and just a little fruit for the highest density of nutrients, phytochemicals and antioxidants. And the fewest calories. Too much fruit in a liquefied state can cause blood sugar problems for some people.
BUT… it has to taste good or no one will drink it. So strike a good balance, get your greens and sprouts in a glass, and drink up!
