If you wash non-organic fruits and vegetables really good, does it get all the pesticides off?
There is a good chance that some of those poisons could be absorbed into the plant through the water it take up.
That is why I always prefer organic food whenever possible.
Organic Juicing for Alkalinity
High water content vegetables are some of the healthiest and best alkalizing foods.
She shares with us a great tasting alkaline juice recipe. The ingredients are:

I love the part where she talks about the “health difference” between being acidic and being alkaline.
She says, if you are acidic, you are likely to be:
- More tired
- More stress and tension in the body
The more alkaline:
- Body release stress and tension more easliy
- Let go of fat
She also discusses foods that create acidity. She mentions citrus fruits, although lemons can be alkaline forming. You can read more about that here, as many people are confused about this issue.
Not all nuts are acid forming, almonds are one exception. Meat, dairy and other protiens are acid forming, but that does not mean avoid altogether. We need good protein to be healthy. Balance is the key. Juicing is a great way to add more fruit and vegetable goodness to your life, without having to eat a bunch more vegetables, which can be challenging for most people. The ginger is great for digestion and cooling inflammation.
I have personally found it helpful to drink detoxifying and cleansing herbal tea, which helps with pH balance. Combined with juicing, it gives me a good energy and health boost.[ad name=”teacup”]
