Today he shares with us some strategies for rejuvenation, that many people are probably unaware of. Some of these thoughts are even controversial, and go against common thinking.

Dr. Mercola says these strategies have helped him to reduce body fat, optimize body weight.

Rejuvenation Research

There is a lot of exciting research in the anti-aging world. Some of that research is related to Mesenchymal Stem Cells.  Some of the experts believe that it is not necessarily the stem cells themselves, but the growth factors that stimulate the rejuvenation and repair.

High Intensity ExerciseSeems that we can stimulate our own stem cells within our body. What does the trick is the combination of exercise and fasting. It appears that combing these two strategies produces very powerful rejuvenation.

Fasting has been promoted as a way to detoxify and clean the body from the inside. This strategy works well for some people, but not for others.

Intermittent fasting is a different way to approach fasting. In other words you are skipping one or two meals per day, as opposed to going multiple days without food.

Typically this means skipping breakfast. This goes against a lot of conventional thinking. Everyone is preaching, “Eat Your Breakfast”. A lot of health experts are getting on the intermittent fasting bandwagon.

So basically he is recommending, wake up, don’t eat for several hours. Exercise during that time and then have a meal that contains quality protein to help recover from the workout. It may take some getting used to at first. A lot of people are accustomed to eating in the morning and “fueling up” for a workout.

Dr. Mercola’s exercise strategy involves building speed and strength in the muscles and the ability to resist injury. he is a fan of high intensity interval training, and the Peak 8 method of working out.
