First of all hemp seeds are one of the best vegetarian sources of protein on the planet, even better than soy. And personally I don’t feel like soy is good for anybody.
Hemp seeds contain all the essential amino acids, which makes them a complete protein.
These seeds contain a healthy anti-inflammatory ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids. They provide a beneficial type of omega-6 fat called GLA (gamma linolenic acid). This omega fat is a building block of anti-inflammatory hormones.
On top of that you are going to get – iron, zinc, carotene, phospholipids, phytosterols, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin D, vitamin E, chlorophyll, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, copper, potassium, phosphorus, and enzymes.
Hemp seeds go great in almost any smoothie recipe. They also can be blended in with other foods. Get some hemp seeds and do some experimenting!
