<p>Yes, I used apples in this recipe, which are not in season now, but the strawberries are. I used what I had on hand. I opened the frig and pulled out what I had. It would have been a notch better to use all fresh and locally grown fruits.</p>

<p>Ingredient List for Raw Food Salad</p>

<li>Spinach or other nutrient dense leafy green</li>
<li>Red peppers, the more vibrant the color the better, a great source of vitamin C</li>
<li>Apples, adds fiber</li>
<li>Sprouts are a wonderful source of nutrition and enzymes. I&#8217;ll find a good video on sprouting in the next couple days. You can also buy fresh sprouts at the store, if you don&#8217;t feel like sprouting your own</li>
<li>Pumpkin seeds,  are helpful against parasites, although they are by no means a complete solution. I like to do a <a href="http://www.asktheherbalist.net/proddetail.php?prod=4081-0">parasite cleanse at least 4x year</a>, just to be safe.</li>
<li>Dried Cranberries, be sure there is no added high fructose corn syrup</li>
<li>Goji Berries, Asian superfood of the great Goji warrior</li>
<li>Marinated artichoke hearts. I love to add these whenever I am at a salad bar.</li>
<li>Hemp seeds, good source of protein, healthy fats and fiber.</li>

<p>Salad Dressing Ingredients</p>
<ul>
<li>Extra virgin olive oil, organic cold pressed</li>
<li>Raw Apple cider vinegar</li>
<li>Pure water</li>
<li>Liquid aminos</li>

<p>I like to add fresh or dried herbs to my salad dressing.  There is a bulk herb section at the health food store. They have small bottles of a bunch of different single herbs and spices as well as combos.  I like to look and smell, then bring home a new one to try every now and then.  A great way to familiarize myself with some new flavors.<br />
To keep the detox systems in my body running smooth, I will also have a cup of <a href="https://www.trytlctea.com/vibrant">herbal tea. Dr Miller&#8217;s Iaso</a> is my current favorite for a good body cleanse and good taste.<br />

<h2>Sandwich Recipe</h2>
<p>Start with brown rice bread, almond rice bread is my favorite flavor.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve got a little bit of turkey, which came from the health food store. It&#8217;s antibiotic-free. A healthier version of turkey, not the typical stuff you get at the grocery store.</p>
<p>Here I&#8217;ve got a plate full of vegetables. Some dandelion greens, and of course you can substitute whatever greens you have on hand, whatever greens you like. Get yourself some dark, leafy greens, and a good amount of them.</p>
<p>Also I&#8217;ve got here an onion and some nice, fresh tomatoes. Over here for a snack on the side, we have carrots and some celery with nut butter. Now almond butter is my favorite to use on this, but I do use other nut butters from time to time. Experiment for variety.</p>

<p>Next a little bit of sesame oil here, I&#8217;m going to add this onto my brown rice bread, which I have toasted. I like mine toasted, so it&#8217;ll taste good that way. Again, a small amount of meat, because you&#8217;ll say, hey, the bread and the meat, they&#8217;re acid-forming. They&#8217;re not alkaline foods. But we&#8217;re trying to offset that with a large amount of fresh vegetables.</p>
<p>So it&#8217;s balanced. Yes, you&#8217;ve got a little bit of acid-forming foods, but hopefully more of the alkaline-forming foods. So I&#8217;m going to put a lot of greens on here. We&#8217;ll bump up the greens. I like mine with a lot of greens.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ll get a couple slices of onion on here, and add  some tomato. We&#8217;ll pile it right on here and flip the rice bread right over. Here you go, &#8211; A more alkaline-forming lunch.</p>
