I am certainly one for becoming more GREEN and helping protect the planet from pollution and my body from toxins.

Glass peanut better jars,

make great glasses to drink out of around the house. Sure they look kind of redneck, people have accused me of drinking moonshine, just in fun of course.

I usually get a strange look, when I tell people I am drinking alkaline water that is enhanced with magnesium and calcium.

I also use the jars to store a serving of vegetable blender smoothie.  I make a blender full in the morning, and fill up one 16 oz jar for later in the day.

Here are a few tips for storing a blender smoothie or fresh made juice:

• Fill the jar right to the top to get all the air out
• Do not store for more than one day, blended, or juiced vegetables just don’t keep that long
• Get it into the frig right away
• It helps to add powdered vitamin C or some type of liquid vitamin, rich in anti-oxidants

Do Your Part to Save the Planet

So I am doing my part to save the landfills from plastic bottles and keep harmful plastics out of my body by going with glass.

Every once in a while, I will be out and need to buy some bottled water, but that is getting to be a rare occasion.
