Nature AlkalineDavid Wolfe shares in this video.

What are the basic categories of alkaline foods?

What about acid foods?

How do these combine in nature to create perfect pH balance?

Classification of Alkaline Foods

  • Green leafy vegetables
  • Some fruits
  • Bone and bone marrow
  • Dairy products, from raw, organic sources

Tip: You can absorb more nutrition out of green leaves, if fat is present. A good reason to use a quality salad dressing, like something containing olive oil. Also nuts and seeds make a good addition to a salad.

The seed and the leaf represent alkaline balance in nature. Seeds are acidic, while the leafy greens are alkaline. Imagine foraging in nature, eating a few greens and a few seeds.

What do you do if you eat too many acid foods? Eat some leafy greens or better yet green juice or smoothie.

What about the acid foods

  • Seeds
  • Some fruits
  • Roots, like potatoes
  • Meat or muscle

David also gets into which parts of the body are acid and which alkaline. The liver, gallbladder, blood, urine, saliva and other parts of the body have different ranges of pH. The body should balance to neutral.

Most people end up in the acid range. Burger, fries and soda. Fries =  root, Beef = muscle, Bun =  seeds. Total acidic combo.

Conclusion -- Get more greens! My favorite way is with the vegetable blender smoothie.
